古代沒有避孕套，古代的妓女們是怎樣避孕的呢??

古代青樓的女子，她們是如何采取避孕的呢？史書上鮮有記載，野史上也不多見，影視劇里也是輕描淡寫了之。有一部電影，就有這樣一個情節：一位妓女在接客之 前，喝下一種湯藥，說是喝了就不會懷孕了。當然，這種避孕藥究竟含有何種成分，無從考證，當關於古代的妓女避孕的方法也就眾說紛紜。

有說將麝香放入妓女的肚臍可以避孕，比如堪稱中國“紅顏禍水”之最的趙飛燕和趙合德兩姊妹就有記載采取的是這樣的避孕措施。當然，趙飛燕和趙合德兩姊妹還 不能稱其為妓女，但殊歸同途。這種貼肚臍叫“了肚貼”。貼在肚臍上，就可以了結女人肚子的受孕功能，再不能懷孕了，不過這“了肚貼”已經失傳。

民間還有記載，據說藏紅花是宮庭傳出來的避孕秘方，說如果皇帝不喜歡某個被寵幸的宮女，就會讓太監把這個宮女倒掛起來，給她用藏紅花液清洗下身，據說 這樣可以將宮女體內的精液清洗乾凈，還有一些野史，說以前皇帝寵幸妃子后，如果說不留的，太監就會幫那女的推拿，確保皇帝的精液不能留在那女的體內，這樣 可以起到避孕的效果。
　但是，即使是現在，也沒有百分之百有效的避孕措施，韋小寶就是避孕失敗的產物。過去許多青樓女子在從良后，都是終身不育的，就是長期飲用破壞生育能力的一種湯藥，以致絕育，說是服用被稱做“涼藥”的一種可以避孕的藥，也含有麝香的成分，會影響生育，但不一定絕育。

　也有使用“安全套”的記載，是使用動物的腸衣，有說是羊的，還有說豬膀胱是早期的“避孕套”，但據史料真實記載，西方中世紀宮廷里使用的“避孕套”就是 動物的腸衣，還有個很好聽的名字——“荷蘭小帽”。中國古人還用魚膘作“避孕套”。在博物館的收藏物中，有古代人用綿羊腸子制成的避孕套，有點接近於現代 避孕套的雛形。
　在3000多年前的印度和埃及，像鱷魚、大象這樣被認為具有神秘力量的動物的糞便也被用到了避孕藥方中。事實上，由於這些動物糞便具有高度酸性，它的確具有一定的殺精作用。不過，動物糞便所帶來的強烈臭味顯然會影響古代夫妻們的“性趣”。

　也有采取喝水銀的方法，水銀的確可以避孕的，但水銀有劇毒啊，也許可能喝少量的不會死人。現在，在我國的北方農村，許多老年人年輕的時候就采用喝水 銀避孕的方法，這肯定對身體有很大傷害。於是，過去妓女們喝的茶水或日常食物中就被放入少量的水銀，據說效果很好，當然，妓女們被蒙在鼓里，還以為是可以 避孕的香爐灰什麼的，不然妓女們知道水銀有毒不敢喝啊！
